Acts 11:26

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Outlook from the In Book

Wait a minute. Is this an April Fools Joke? What I mean is that this verse must be written backwards. Read it with me again. “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Did you see it? It must be backwards. If not, then we must have it all backwards.

What am I talking about? The last line of that verse says “And the Disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” They were disciples first and then called Christians. Today we want people to become Christians and then become disciples. And putting it backwards has people that think they are Christians but then have no earthly desire to be disciples. They do not want to learn about and fall in love with God and His Son Jesus Christ. All they want is to say a prayer that keeps them out of hell.

In the Bible they were disciples first. That means they had a desire to follow and be like Jesus. They not only wanted to know Him, but they wanted to be just like Him. Is that what you want? Is that what you had in mind? Are you a disciple of Christ? Are you trying and learning more everyday about how to be more like Him? If not, then are you really a CHRISTIAN?

The Word Living In Me

Giving our heart to Christ is the first step in walking the Christian life. There are many believers in this world. People that believe in Jesus for Salvation. But how many real Christians are there? People that desire more than anything to be like Christ. My prayer today is “Lord I Want To Be A Christian.” AMEN

Psalm 78:72

So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

Outlook from the In Book

It’s a really pretty day out, the birds are singing, the sun is shining, and its time to take the children to the park. When arriving you tell them all the rules like, don’t talk to strangers, don’t run off where I cannot see you, try not to get too dirty, etc. After just a bit you find yourself sort of lost in the freshness of the spring, the beauty of it all and then, it dawns on you. Where are the children? You get up and look and you can’t see them. You walk around a bit and, Oh thank heavens there they are. Who are they talking to? As you get closer you see them filthy dirty and carrying on a conversation with a kindly older gentleman. When you excuse yourself and walk away with the children you realize they have broken every single rule you gave them on that day.

What should your do? I know, lets just leave them there to starve and never teach them another thing. They have disobeyed and so you no longer want them around ever. Right? Of course not. Why? Because you had a part in bringing them into this world and you love them very much. Even when they have not obeyed exactly what you asked, you still love them. So you take them home, clean them up, make them dinner, and try to explain one more time why it is important to obey the things that you have told them. Trying to skillfully guide them away from dangers and into a life of peace and safety.

You have just read a story that will sort of explain the heart of God toward us. We do not always obey, even though we know we should. We do not always stay clean, although we know He has asked us too. We cannot get out of His sight, but we can get out of His will. But after it all, if you are His child, He loves you. He will guide and help you. And do it by His integrity and skillfulness.

The Word Living In Me

In Hebrews it is said of God that He will never ever no never leave us or ever forsake us. What a great promise to his wayward children. He says to you and to me today, come home, I love you.

Proverbs 3:1-2

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Outlook from the In Book

“Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.” That use to be a line in a chorus sung years ago. But the truth is just as real today. There is a story of a Sunday School teacher who asked a student, “do you want to go to heaven?” The student said “Yes” She said, “go stand over there.” Then she asked another, “do you want to go to heaven?” They also said, “Yes” She instructed them to also stand over by the other class member. Then she asked a third student the same question but the student said “NO.” The teacher, amazed said, “you mean to tell me that when you die you don’t want to go to heaven?” The young lad replied, “oh yes when I die I do, I thought you were getting a group together to go right now.” Everybody wants to go to heaven. I have never in all my life ever spoken to anybody about someone that just passed away and heard them say “I hope they went to Hell.” Why? Because nobody, I don’t care what they say when alive, really ever wants to go to hell. Everybody wants to go to heaven. But we all want that fountain of youth. That way we can live forever here.

Well I cannot promise you length of days and quality of life, but I believe the Bible gives us an example of how God does. By staying in His word, and obeying the precepts in it, God says he will lengthen our days and make them as enjoyable as earthly possible.

The Word Living In Me

How can that be? Well, can you imagine any better way to spend your life, than in obedience to the one who holds the days of your life in the palm of His hand? I can’t.

James 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Outlook from the In Book

Have you ever found yourself with just more than you could possibly do? It just seemed to sneak up on you, and then, wham! You’re overwhelmed. Now what? You can’t seem to decide what to tackle first. Everything seems just as important as the rest of it. My dad use to say, “You’ve got too much on your plate at one time.” And it’s true! You seem pulled in all different directions. Well trust me on this; you cannot go two different directions at the same time. It’s just not physically possible. And yet that is the way some people live their lives. Running to a fro and not knowing which way to turn next.

The Bible says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. A person trying to live both lives, that of a Christian and that of a worldly sinner, is unsure of both. You find these people often unsure of their salvation, (if they ever really got saved), and unsure of their destination, (where they will reside for eternity.) What a terrible mixed up way to live, especially when you don’t have to live that way.

The Bible is such a clear understandable book. A person that get’s bogged down on who was Cain’s wife, is not to the place of looking for salvation. They still want to argue with the Bible. Once they know that they know they are going to hell… they won’t care who Cain’s wife was as long as they know they’re going to heaven when they die. Then, when they get there, they can just ask God.

The Word Living In Me

Ask God to help you keep focused on His Son Jesus. If we keep Him in view, the rest of our life will fall into place.

Deuteronomy 24:22

And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

Outlook from the In Book

In America we too often take our freedom for granted. We wake up every morning and believe we’re free. Free to go where we want to go, do what we want to do, and as our parents told us when we were young, grow up to be anything we want to be. Freedom. What a wonderful thing, that we treat so lightly. Men and women have died to gain and keep our freedom. Others use their entire life to try to outline and uphold our freedom. And yet there are those that walk around us everyday that truly are not free.

The chains of drug addictions bind some. What seemed like such a small thing many years ago now controls their life. Some are held captive by Alcohol. Every day is another day to see how long they can go before they feel a need for another drink. Others are enslaved by tobacco. They say it’s not a problem, but they can’t seem to live without it. Maybe it’s pornography, an alternate life style, or whatever it is that’s in more control of you than you are. Are we really free?

Jesus was reminding the Israelites that they too were bound at one time and not to ever forget it. It is so easy to look at someone else who is bound and forget where we come from. We too were bound by sin. Sin was taking us off to hell and we were content to go. Until one day someone shared with us the glorious truth of Gods Word. The Holy Spirit shined a light in our life and there and then we saw our need for a Saviour.

The Word Living In Me

As we see others struggling to be free in the sea of life, let’s not through them an anchor of ridicule, pity or shame. We once were, and maybe in another way, still are held by some things. Let’s reach out a hand to help them in the boat. We must remember where we came from and where Jesus found us. Once they get in the boat with us, maybe they can help us with our chains too.

Psalm 82:8

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Outlook from the In Book

It seems the whole world is unhappy with the idea of people judging people. It use to be there were winners and losers in games, now instead, because we do not want to damage someone’s self-esteem, there are those that come in first and the runners up. Who in the world do we think we are kidding? Any child or adult really knows if they are watching boxing, the guy unconscious on the mat, does not think he is the runner up.

We are always being judged whether we like it or not. Our children and grandchildren make judgments on how to live their lives by what they see their parents and grandparents do. Our co-workers are judging whether they can trust us or not by the way we conduct our lives. Our friends are judging us to see if what we say and what we do line up. Our spouse is judging us to see what kind of mood we are in today. We are always being judged.

But I think we forget also there is one that is judging at all times. He judges the good and the bad. The saved and the unsaved. The saved He judges as an Olympic judge would for reward at the end of their competition. The unsaved he judges for their sin of rejecting Jesus Christ for their salvation. He will be the final judge. A fair judge. Not accepting some and rejecting others because of anything except, have they accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour and let His blood wash away their sin.

The Word Living In Me

God is judging us all. If He was to hold up a card like they do for Olympic Skaters, and on that card your Christian walk was rated from a 1 – 10, what number do you think God would be holding up today?

Proverbs 7:2

Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye

Outlook from the In Book

“The Apple of the Eye!” What does that really mean? Well I went out on the World Wide Web and asked that question and here is what I received back from goenglish.com.

The apple of your eye is that person (or thing) that you care for the most. Example: "He sure does love his little girl." Reply: "She's the apple of his eye." Example: "You got me the bracelet I wanted!" Reply: "Yes, I knew it was the apple of your eye."

The original meaning of the apple of your eye is the pupil, or the round black spot in the middle of the eye. It is as if that person's reflection can be seen in the pupil ("apple") of your eye. Example: "Everyone knew they would get married someday. She was always the apple of his eye."

It makes you feel good to look at the person who is the apple of your eye. From a famous love song: "You are the apple of my eye. That's why I'll always be with you."

Using their definitions, is God’s word the Apple Of Thine Eye? Is it the “Thing you care for most?” Is your life a reflection of God’s Word? Does you feel good to look into Gods Word? God wants His word to be the Apple of our Eye.

Galatians 3:3

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Outlook from the In Book

Work, work, work. That seems like all we ever do. Always so busy. Our place of employment wants more of our time than ever before. They want us to be dedicated to them first. Our spouse wants, and deserves our time, but we seem to have very little left after all that work. And then there is the church. It tells us that we need to be serving God by serving in His church. And we know that’s true too. But how can all this be true when there are only so many hours in the day?

Sometimes it seems as though we forget that what we have in salvation is free. We cannot earn it and cannot repay God for it. We seem to think that in order to please God we need to be busy all the time. The truth is, all that work mentioned before may glorify God if done for Him. Our place of employment is our mission field where we share with our friends our life in Christ. Our home is our place of encouragement and love. God gave us this for our benefit. And working for the Lord is not something you do in church. It is a life you live and bring with you to church. The gifts that God has given you are one of the forms of your expression of worship in the Lords House.

The Word Living In Me

Thank God today for allowing you to serve Him with ALL your life in ALL you do. We were saved by faith in Him. Let’s live by faith in Him.

Deuteronomy 31:21

And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

Outlook from the In Book

All too often you hear someone say, “Its only music” or “what harm can that do, it’s just a song?” For some reason they don’t believe music makes that big an impact on our lives or on what we think or do. Today we hear so many so called musicians that sing of killing, suicide, drugs, immoral relationships, and the list goes on and on. Don’t you think that might affect a little of the way we might think if we listen to this over and over and over… And it’s not just Rap or Rock or Pop. All forms of music have jumped on the sing about sin bandwagon. And it’s not just the latest and so called greatest. It has been going on for a while. And people still think, “Well what can that hurt, it’s just a song, right?”

Well it doesn’t matter what you or I think. What matters most is how does God look at the role of music in our life? By looking at just one verse we see that God knew way back in Moses time (and I am sure before) that music impacts the thinking and memories of the Children of Israel. God didn’t ask Moses to write another book, paint a picture, or build an idol. A book might not be read, a picture can only be in one place and a building never leaves it location. But a song, people hear it, remember it, and take it with them in their hearts forever.

The Word Living In Me

Still think music never affects you? Then what do you think of when you read this? “JESUS LOVES ME THIS I KNOW…” Yes, it’s that favorite chorus we learned as a child. Now it’s stuck in your head for a while. See, music and lyrics make a big difference in our lives. What are you feeding your heart today?

Psalm 86:7

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Outlook from the In Book

Some people say they don’t need friends. They have the “I can do it on my own” attitude. Well, either these people are a lot stronger than I am, or they are putting on a front. I could not imagine living life every day with no friends. Friends are there to comfort me when I am down. They encourage me when I get depressed. They are the ones I run to when I have a funny story to tell. They are the ones that I tell my greatest accomplishments to, and share my deepest sorrows with. My Friends. I thank God for them.

But sometimes in the dark of the night, when you do not want to wake a friend, there is my closest friend that is always there. And not only does He walk with me through the joys of my life, but also in my deepest trouble. I can call on God 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 12 months a year, all my life. And better yet, not only does He listen, He calms my soul. What better friend could a person have?

The Word Living In Me

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief to bear… What a friend in deed.

Proverbs 11:22

As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

Outlook from the In Book

I was walking down the street the other day and saw a man walking his dog. That was not so strange, except the dog had on a sweater. And it might have just been me, but it seemed like the dog was really moving fast and kept looking left to right, right to left as if to say, “I sure hope none of my dog friends see me dressed this way.” I know, some of you dress your dog that way too, and I guess if it makes you happy to dress up your dog it never hurts anything. But you need to understand; under that sweet little cardigan is still a dog. You can paint their toenails, give them a cute hair cut, and put ribbons in their hair, but they are still dogs. What’s the point in all this? You are the same way. You can dress up the outside and clean up nice. You might say the right things and go to the right places. But if you have never accepted Jesus as your Saviour, you’re still lost.

The Word Living In Me

Our verse today speaks of people with no discretion. Christian men and women should not just say they are Christians and hope people get close enough so we can tell them. Lets also look the part. The inside and the outside should match. Do you look like the world and claim Jesus? Do you look like a Christian and not know Him? Its time for the insides and outsides to match!

Philippians 4:9

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Outlook from the In Book

“Do as I say, not as I do!” Ever heard those words? A lot of people that work out in the factories and business of this world have. Or if those exact words were not said, they were sure implied.

As parents we are sometimes guilty of giving our children the same idea of what is right and wrong. We tell our children “You’ll do so because I said so. It does not matter what I do, do as I say.”

The truth is it does matter. And it matters a great deal. People will do what they see being done quicker than what they are told to do. In our verse Paul says those things that I have taught you and you understood and you heard me saying and you saw me doing, those are the things that you should do. He was saying watch me; I’ll be your example of a Christian.

The Word Living In Me

Can you tell people to watch you and you will show them what it means to be a Christian? Follow me and I will show you where you should and should not go. Listen to me and you will hear what Christians should sound like. Well it doesn’t matter if you told people to watch or not. They are anyway.

Joshua 7:21

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

Outlook from the In Book

Right and wrong. What to do? Our logic tells us do what is right. It just makes good sense. If you do what is right there will be fewer problems, no guilt, no hiding, etc. And yet, often we find ourselves doing just exactly the opposite. Why is it?

It’s because of the same sins that Achan had to deal with. PRIDE and LUST. Our desire to make me happy out ways the desire to do what’s right. Achan heard what was right, knew the judgment to passed out if he disobeyed, he knew not to take the items he took. But he did it anyway. Thinking somehow, God might not see me, or He really won’t care if I take just a little for me. Our pride in believing we always deserve more than God has given us, and the lust in our hearts to always have more, sometimes seems to cause us to forget. God sees everything we do and He cares very much when we disobey.

The Word Living In Me

In Prov. 3:5 it says: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”. If you keep reading the passage in Joshua you’ll find that God would have given Achan so much more if he had just been willing to wait on God’s timing. Be patient, God will take care of you.

Psalm 89:37

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah

Outlook from the In Book

It was reported on May 29th in 1996 that a small asteroid passed 280,000 miles from the earth. Just a little bit farther away than our moon. It was said that if it had hit the earth it could have destroyed an area the size of an average state in the US. It was also reported that it could have taken us out of orbit and destroyed us and the moon that orbits us. Every so often we hear of a meteor or asteroid that is going to hit the moon or the earth and destroy it. Thousands of smaller asteroids hit the earth and the moon often, leaving small craters as their aftermath. So why can I be so sure that there will not be one that will destroy our moon and us? Because I believe the Bible is true and if one does come it will be after the rapture of the church and God will use it as part of His judgment on this earth. Also, I hate to ruin their fun, but the Bible says the moon will be a faithful witness forever. How long is forever anyway?

The Word Living In Me

All too often science has been the proof of the Bible’s accuracy. But when it comes to believing science or the Bible I believe God’s word. He’s been around a lot longer than the scientists.

Proverbs 15:3

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Outlook from the In Book

When you were younger, (Or maybe now,) have you ever played hide and go seek? I am sure you have at one time or another. I remember as a child how I hated to play with some people because I just knew that they were cheating. I had some really good hiding places and they would say 99, 100...Ready or not here I come and they would walk right to where I was. I know they had to be looking, peeking, and not playing fair.

Now I am not implying that God does not play fair, but he is always peeking. No matter how good you think your hiding place is, He can see you. And by the way, He never said He would close His eyes in the first place. In fact, He has warned us all along, I Am Watching You….

The Word Living In Me

Why would you want to play hide and seek with God anyway? If real trouble comes, don’t you want Him to be able to see and help? Yes, you do. Take a moment and thank Him today for being ever vigilant over your life.

2 Thessalonians 2:15

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Outlook from the In Book

Stand fast.. What actually does that mean? Well it does not mean to jump up from where you are sitting and stand real fast. The only thing that will accomplish is a dizzy feeling and maybe falling over and cracking open your skull. Stand fast means to act like a mannequin on your beliefs. Don’t be persuaded by the latest and greatest thing that comes along. Stand solid on the word of God. Don’t let someone with a new interpretation of the scripture entice you to believe something different than what is really there in the Word of God. It also means keep standing. Don’t quit. There is little time to rest and let down your guard in this day and age. So Stand Fast, Hold on to the traditional teachings of God’s Word. Don’t be moved, and keep standing.

The Word Living In Me

Stand Up Stand Up For Jesus. Why? Because you are soldiers in His mighty army. Stand up for what you believe in. Stand Up for Jesus. Stand Up for the Word of God. Stand Up today. And Stand Fast.

Psalm 91:1

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty..

Outlook from the In Book

Everyone likes to feel safe. A special place where it seems the world cannot get to you and that no matter what is happening all around, you feel safe. The other day we talked about someone that seemed to be able to find you no matter where you were hiding. It seemed as though they peeked during hid and seek. But what about that place where you could hide and no one could find you. That super great hiding spot that no one ever could seem to find where it was. They might walk by and never see you. That is what life is like in Jesus. He is our secret hiding place. Satan cannot get us in Christ. He can tempt us and can pick at us, but he can never ever have us. We are in a safe place for all eternity.

The Word Living In Me

Safe, forevermore. Isn’t that the best feeling? Isn’t that the best assurance? How could anyone want to live in this day and not be safe? Safe from the penalty of sin. Safe from the person of Satan. Safe in the perfect dwelling place of our Saviour, Jesus.

Psalm 92:15

To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Outlook from the In Book

In the Chinese Ying-Yang symbol there is a white dot in a black area and a black dot in a white area that is all together in one circle. The statement behind it is that in every good there is a little bad, and in every bad there is a little good. This statement is not true of our Lord. In Him there is absolutely no evil, sin, bad, or unrighteousness at all. He is our absolutely sinless perfection. The spotless Lamb of God that has provided a way of salvation for us all. The Son of our Perfect God. The second part of a perfect Holy Trinity. He who has given to us the Holy Spirit. You’ll find no bad in him. If we had to draw this circle for Him, it would have to be a white circle with no dots.

The Word Living In Me

We need to remember the Holy perfection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is in Him that we are made righteous.

Proverbs 19:5 & 9

5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.
9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

Outlook from the In Book

There use to be a saying when I was younger, “You’ll just lie your way into a big hole and then pull the dirt in on top of you with your lies.” Oh how true it seems to be. One lie is told and then someone asks a question about that lie and another lie just a little bigger is told to cover up that lie and then another and then another until it is so outrageous that even you can’t believe what is coming out of your mouth. Your life is a constant wondering of, “what did I tell them or did I tell them this or that.” People begin to catch you in your lies and then they never trust anything you say. Your family and friends take what you say with a grain of salt. Do you remember the question,”If a liars says he is lying is he telling the truth?” What a terrible way to spend our life, especially when we don’t have to. The Bible tells us that God forgives us of our sins, but we must quit sinning. How does a liar quit being a liar? Simple, start telling the truth. WOW isn’t that easy?

The Word Living In Me

Jesus is all about the truth. In fact the bible calls Him the Truth. In John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Isn’t it good to really KNOW THE TRUTH!!!

1 Corinthians 6:5

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

Outlook from the In Book

Point out people’s sin or try to resolve a church dispute and you have got your hands full. They will squirm and twist and yell and then when they have heard as much as they can, they become Bible theologians. Usually you will hear something like, ”you call yourself a Christian?” And, “the Bible says Judge Not…” Well it does say that, several times, but you have to read the rest of it to know what it really means. Usually it is talking of someone who for the sake enjoyment or self-elevation loves to point out peoples sin. If that is the case they are right. But if we are approached by someone with the truth of the scripture and they, with love in their hearts for our spiritual life, address an area that the Holy Spirit might be doing some work on anyway, don’t take it out on the messenger. If we can’t help one another grow in the body of Christ…. Then who is going to help?

The Word Living In Me

Before we ever try to help another, we must ask for help our self. God is the one true and only counselor of the heart. All we can really do is point others and our self back to Him.

Joshua 24:15

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Outlook from the In Book

It seems a lot of people believe somehow that God would make them worship Him, make them have a desire to attend church if that is what they are suppose to do, make them tithe if it is right, make them read their bible if it has so much good stuff in there, make them pray if He really wants to hear from them, make them go to Sunday School if they really need more teaching, make them find a place of service for the Lord if He really need their help, and make them come again on Wednesday Night if that is the correct way to serve God. They set back and wait for this Holy kick in the pants to do anything. And when it does not come, they say something really stupid like; “it must not be God’s will for me.”

God will not force anything on you. You may choose everything in life you want. Choose to stay home because of the people at church you can’t seem to get along with. Choose not to serve God because you have filled your life with too many other things that you have crowded God out. Choose to keep all your money because you have bought so much that your bills now controls your life. Choose to watch the latest sit-com or movie instead of reading God’s word. Choose to sleep a little longer instead of taking a few minutes and speaking with whom you somehow call Lord. And ultimately choose to go to hell if you want to. It really is all your choice.

The Word Living In Me

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve;…. but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” What have you decided today?

April 22nd

Psalm 95:1

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Outlook from the In Book

Music is a wonderful gift from God. It seems that everyone likes some form of music. It can be used for so many different things. It can calm a person with soft melodies. It can be used in a battle, blaring loudly 24 hours a day to keep people from sleep and drive them crazy. It can be used as in a trumpet to call people to battle or wake them from sleep. It can be used in a church to sing praises to God. Music is truly a gift from God. How can we use if for His good? The Bible tells us to make a joyful noise unto the rock of our Salvation. To sing unto the Lord. God loves to hear us sing. Even if we do not have the voice of an angel, God loves to hear us when praises to Him come floating off our lips from our heart. I believe it does at least three things.

        1. I believe that God loves the sound of our voice. Could you imagine hearing your little child in the back yard singing for everyone to hear, “O how wonderful is my mom, she loves me like no other, O how special to me is my dad, God could not make another.” Wouldn’t that just melt your heart? Would it matter to you if they were on key or not? No way! And I believe God loves to hear us sing His praises just that way.

        2. It lifts your spirits to sing the praise of your God. It will make your day so much brighter as you sing of our wonderful Redeemer. As you sing the Wondrous Love of Jesus the joy of the Lord will overshadow you.

        3. I like this. I believe it drives Satan MAD!!!!!!

The Word Living In Me

Find a place all to yourself today and sing, What a Mighty God We Serve, or How Great Thou Art, or Jesus Loves Me. Whatever comes to your heart, Just Sing.
